Audit, Accounting and Financial Services

Reznick Government has significant knowledge of federal and state accounting standards, financial regulations, economic stimulus reporting requirements, and information systems auditing standards. We help government agencies address complex financial and management issues with services including strategic/operational assessments, accounting and reconciliations (including audit readiness), and contract, performance, and compliance audits.

Reznick Government is focused on providing audit, compliance, planning, project and program management support to federal, state, and local governments. Our accounting professionals perform over 1,200 Yellow Book audits annually and we have detailed knowledge of the requirements used in auditing federal financial statements pursuant to:

  • Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS);
  • OMB Circular A-136, Financial Reporting Requirements;
  • Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Bulletin 07-04, Audit Requirements for Federal Financial Statements;
  • The Government Accountability Office (GAO)/Presidential Council on Integrity and Efficiency (PCIE) Financial Audit Manual (FAM);
  • GAO Federal Information Systems Control Audit Manual (FISCAM);
  • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) guidance.

We also have experience with various other compliance regulations such as the Federal Managers Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA), and the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA). All Reznick Government personnel are required to adhere to the rules, regulations, interpretations, and rulings of the PCAOB, AICPA, applicable state CPA societies and boards of accountancy, state statutes, and, for applicable engagements, the Yellow Book and GASB regulations.
